SPECIALIZED CONTRACTING AND INDUSTRIES CO. is the mother company for Osman Group. It is composed of highly qualified and specialized engineers, architects and experts working in two main disciplines: construction and manufacturing (Precast Pipe Factory). It was established in 1977.

| Executing different types of municipal projects as well as industrial, residential and administration buildings. Carrying out studies, designs and working drawings for construction projects. | The factory was established in 1980 at Wadi Hof. Its purpose is to produce diversified precast concrete pipe-products especially those specified to meet the needs of the Greater Cairo and Alexandria waste-water schemes. |
The precast pipe factory has many products which include the following:
- A wide range of pipes (400mm - 3200mm diameter) as per ASTM specification (C-76), BS 5911, and DIN (4033, 4035).
- Reinforced concrete pipes lined with PVC, ranging from 700mm to 3200mm diameter for use in open-cut trenches.
- Precast concrete bolted tunnel segments ranging in diameter from 1620mm and up to 5520mm.
- Pipes for jacked tunnels varying from diameter 1000mm up to 3200mm.
- Prestressed concrete pipes according to BS 4625 and EN 642 specification. Diameters varying from 600mm up to 2200mm pipes.
In addition to its construction and manufacturing disciplines, Specialized Contracting and Industries Co. is a shareholder and active partner in two major companies that specialize in performing projects according to the BOT (Build, Operate, Transfer) and BOOT (Build, Own, Operate, Transfer) basis. The first of the two companies is the Egyptian International Company for Urban Development (EICUD) which was established with a share capital of LE 50 million between Specialized Contracting and Industries Co., National Bank of Egypt, Cairo Bank, Arab Consulting Engineers (ACE-Moharram and Bakhoum), Artoc Group, Misr Insurance, Arab Contractors and Green Valley Development Co. One of the major projects that has been awarded to EICUD is a four storey underground parking lot in El Tahrir Square in Central Cairo in front of the Egyptian Museum. The second of the two companies is Egyptian Urban Investment and Construction Co.

MISR RAYMOND FOUNDATIONS is a specialized contractor offering a full range of piling and geotechnical services to the construction industry, formed in 1979 as a joint venture between Specialized Contracting and Industries Co. (a member of Osman Group) and Raymond International (the U.S piling and foundation company).
Its main activities include specializing in marine and land foundation including all types of piles (bored and driven). Its activities also include special works such as dredging, heavy lifts up to 4500 tonnes are carried out together with land and marine topographical surveying. The company also provides Centriline spun mortar insitu pipeline rehabilitation for 75mm to 2500mm pipes. Foundation design, soil mechanics and asphalt laboratory, on and off shore boring, and testing and soil investigation services are provided. The companies concrete, soils and materials testing laboratories are USAID and Army Corps of Engineers approved.

MISR DYWIDAG is a construction and civil engineering firm with special emphasis on structural engineering. The company was founded in 1980 as a joint venture between Specialized Contracting and Industries of Egypt and Dywidag Systems International Gmbh, a Dyckerhoff & Widmann Co. of Germany.
Its main activities include structural engineering (lifting and lowering of heavy structures), prestressing for silos and bridges, subway systems (micro-piles, soil and rock anchoring), multi-storey parking garages and silos for cement plants. Its major projects range from bridges and cement plants to parking garages.
